Trip Overview

Located in the heart of Annapurna massif, Singu Chuli peak climbing (6501m) is a wonderful sensation for any enthusiastic climbers to satisfy their lust for peak climbing in Nepal. Though the peak is not very towering as compared to other highest mountains in the Annapurna region of Nepal. But the allure of Singu Chuli peak is nothing less compare to other popular peaks present in that region. Singu Chuli peak is also referred to as the Fluted peak. In fact, it is the third highest mountains amongst the trekking peaks in the Annapurna region of Nepal.

Furthermore, the peak offers some splendid views of mountains like Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Tharpu Chuli, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Macchapucchre and many more. Singu Chuli peak climbing offers an opportunity to walk into the trail of Annapurna Base camp. Hence, it lets you relish the glory of mountains in Annapurna Sanctuary. There you can also see the picturesque view of Pokhara, ethnic settlements, biodiversity and cultural diversity. Besides that, the people in the Annapurna region is also another appealing aspect of Singu Chuli peak climbing.

Wilfred Noyce with David Cox were the pioneers to successfully climb up the peak of Singu Chuli. While they experienced the beauty of the place from the top, they compared the beauty of Singu Chuli with the peak of Nanda Devi in India. The peak of Singu Chuli rises within the Annapurna Sanctuary with Tharpu Chuli as its neighboring peak. Singu Chuli peak climbing starts from the foothill of Annapurna and follows a trail that leads us to the Annapurna Base Camp. From the Annapurna Base Camp, the trail diverges to Singu Chuli Base Camp via the Modi Khola. From the Singu Chuli Base Camp, we ascend up to the high camp and finally conquer the summit of the peak.

Singu Chuli peak climbing is a bit technical and prior experience is highly recommended. However, the climbing leader will train you on the climbing lessons. The main difficulty to climb up the peak is its vertical walls. The climb up the peak is very steep and sloppy. Therefore, you need to be very smooth with the use of ropes, crampons and ice axes. Besides, Singu Chuli peak climbing is a wonderful mix of nature, mountains, people, culture and natural wonders. Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Day
Arrive in the land of the Himalayas. A representative from Himal Eco Treks will welcome you at the Tribhuvan International airport in Kathmandu and transfer you to the hotel for check-in. Freshen up and the representative will brief you on your plans ahead. If you get time, you can stroll around the streets of Kathmandu in the evening. Spend your night at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Drive to Pokhara
Wake up early and get ready for your breakfast. After breakfast, your guide will pick you up at the hotel and escort you to a drive that will take you to Pokhara. A six to seven hours drive along the highway will lead you to the lakeside city – Pokhara. The drive along the highway is full of beautiful scenery. You will be driving along the Trishuli river for most of the time. The lush hills, rivers, countryside villages are some of the appealing things that you will be able to view from your window pane during the drive. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. If you are not tired, you can go for a walk along the lakeside in the evening. Spend your night at a hotel in Pokhara.
Day 3: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedhunga
Early in the morning, after breakfast, we set out for a trekking journey ahead. We take an early drive to Nayapul from where we initiate our actual trekking journey. We begin our walk along the foothills of Annapurna massif and pass various farmlands and villages to Tikhedhunga. We stop at a guesthouse in Tikhedhunga for the night.
Day 4: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani
Today, we leave Tikhedhunga and start our journey ahead towards the village of Ghorepani. Ghorepani is a beautiful village known for the spectacular views of mountains it offers. Our walk for the day is very pleasing as we will be walking in a pristine environment with lushness all around. The views of mountains in the backdrop add to the glory of the walking into this Himalayan region. We walk for five to six hours today. We stop at a guesthouse in Ghorepani for the night.
Day 5: Hike to Poon Hill and trek to Tadapani
Poonhill is a popular vantage point in Annapurna region of Nepal known for the beautiful views of mountains and glorious views of sunrise and sunset it offers. Early in the morning, we hike up to Poonhill to catch a glimpse of sunrise amidst the Annapurna massif. The golden rays of sun amidst the Annapurna ranges look awesome. From the viewpoint in Poonhill, we will be blessed with the magnificence of mountains like Annapurna I, II, III, IV, Annapurna South, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Nilgiri, Mt. Macchapucchre and many more. After enjoying the beauty of the mountains from Poonhill, we descend down to Tadapani. We stop at a guesthouse in Tadapani for the night.
Day 6: Tadapani to Sinuwa
Today, we leave Tadapani and move ahead towards Sinuwa. We pass beautiful forests and lush landscape along the way. Our walk for the day is around six to seven hours. As we reach Sinwa, we stop at a guesthouse in Sinwa for the overnight stay.
Day 7: Sinuwa to Deurali
Early in the morning, we wake up and enjoy our breakfast. After breakfast, we continue with our trekking journey and move ahead towards Deurali. We walk along a magnificent landscape enjoying the views of Annapurna massif all the way. We pass a few settlements and forest area to Deurali. We stay at a guesthouse in Deurali for the night.
Day 8: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp
Today, we head towards the pursuance of every travel lover i.e. Annapurna Base Camp. From Deurali, we continue our walk until we open up to the Annapurna Base Camp. As soon as we reach the base camp, we will be blessed with the panoramic views of mountains in the Annapurna region. The peaks of mountains like Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Macchapucchre, Mt. Nilgiri, Mt. Gangapurna, etc looks absolutely amazing. Today, we spend our night amidst the mountains in Annapurna Base Camp. We stay at a guesthouse in Annapurna Base Camp for the night.
Day 9: Trek to Singu Chuli Peak Base Camp
Today, we leave Annapurna Base Camp and move forward to achieve our peak climbing goal. We head towards the Singu Chuli peak base camp. Also, known as the fluted peak, Singu Chuli peak is amongst the third highest climbing peaks in the Annapurna region of Nepal. The path to Singu Chuli peak is quite rough and snowy. We set up our camp once we reach the base camp and spend our night at the tented camps in the base camp.
Day 10: Singu Chuli Base camp to high camp
Today, we ascend up to the Singu Chuli High Camp. We slowly continue through the trail to Singu Chuli peak until we reach the high camp. We will have extra time after reaching the high camp, therefore, we utilize the time exploring around the places in high camp. From the high camp, we will be blessed with the magnificent views of mountainous terrain and glaciers. We spend our night in the tented camps in the high camp.
Day 11: Summit the peak and return back to base camp
Today is the day where we attempt our climb to the Singu Chuli peak. We follow our climbing leader and take care of do’s and so not’s during the climb. We start our peak climbing journey early in the morning so as to avoid the bad weather in the afternoon. Once we get to the top, we will be rewarded with some striking views of the mountains in the Annapurna region. after relishing the glory of mountains from the top, we descend down to the Singu Chuli Base Camp for the overnight stay. We spend our night in the tented camps in the Singu Chuli Base Camp.
Day 12: Singu Chuli Base Camp to Deurali
Today, we embark on our return journey. We retrace our footsteps back via the same magnificent path to Deurali. We will be blessed with astounding views of mountains throughout the way. We stay at a guesthouse in Deurali for the night.
Day 13: Trek to Chomorong
From Deurali, we retrace our steps back via same villages, forests and wonderful views of mountains to Chomorong. The terraced farmlands, people, villages, interactions with local are some of the unique aspects of this trek. We spend our night at a guesthouse in Chomorong.
Day 14: Trek to Syauli Today is yet another day
Today is yet another day of our return journey where we move closer to Pokhara city. We descend down via the same path from Deurali to Syauli Bazaar. We pass various terraced farmlands and lush landscape on the way to Syauli Bazaar. We stop at a guesthouse in Syauli for the night.
Day 15: Trek to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara
We retrace our journey back to Nayapul. We pass the same terraced farmlands and villages to Nayapul. From Nayapul, we take a short drive to Pokhara. Overnight at a hotel in Pokhara
Day 16: Drive to Kathmandu
Today, we head back to the capital city of Kathmandu. We drive back to Kathmandu along the scenic route of the Trishuli river. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu
Day 17: Leisure Day in Kathmandu
Today is your leisure day in Kathmandu. You can either rest or stroll across the valley for shopping or anything else as per your preference. In the evening, you will be treated with an authentic Nepalese cuisine as a farewell dinner. Overnight in the hotel
Day 18: Farewell
Your journey comes to an end today. Your guide will transfer you to the airport for your journey ahead.
