Your journey starts with a flight from Kathmandu to Paro airport. The flight to Paro is an enchanting experience. During the flight you can see the beautiful views of mountains i.e. Mt. Everest, Mt. Kanchenjunga and Mt. Manaslu. After your arrival at Paro, our Bhutanese crew will assist you for the further journey. Next, we take a few hour drive to fascinating town of Thimpu. Since, Thimpu is culturally rich you may get intrigue with the things you see there. Temples built in the medieval period, monasteries, dzongs and stupas are the major highlights of this trip.
Another interesting thing of this journey is Thanka – A beautiful and unique piece of art. You may see them around the monasteries, shops and many other places. Thankas are the one of the important part of Bhutanese culture. A visit to the museum at Thimpu will get you some more insights on the unique Buddhist culture, tradition and history.

A flight to Paro takes you across the Himalayas to Bhutan. The flight in itself is nothing less than a mountain flight. You pass above the Himalayas admiring the magnificence of snow-capped mountains standing tall one after another. As you arrive at the airport in Paro, your guide i.e. our Bhutanese crew will pick you up and escort you to a hotel for check in. Get refreshed and rest for a while. After lunch, you will be escorted to Ta Dzong, a national museum that treasures the old paintings, armours and many other things of cultural and historical importance. After museum, you will be taken to the oldest temple of Bhutan – Kichu Lhakhang for sightseeing. Spend the night at your hotel. (Lunch and dinner included.)
We start our day with a hike to Tiger’s nest monastery. Tiger’s nest monastery is one of the most popular monastery in the town that has its own importance. According to a mythology, Guru Rinpoche has fled on a back of tigress to meditate in a cliff and it is the place where the monastery stands now. It is also popular for its dramatic location at the edge of the cliff. After exploring the monastery and its rich crafts, we descend down to Paro and head to the capital city of Bhutan – Thimpu in the evening. Overnight at a hotel in Thimpu. We spend the day sightseeing the places of cultural and historical importance. We start with a drive to Memorial Chorten which was built in the memory of third king of Bhutan. Then we head to Changangkha monastery, Nunnery temple, School of Arts and Crafts and Folk Heritage museum respectively. We further visit traditional paper factory, Tashichhodzong and a giant statue of Buddha placed on a hill that dominates the whole Thimphu city. In the evening, we can wander around the city on our own. Overnight at a hotel in Thimpu. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.)
In the morning, we hike up to Wangditse monastery. We walk on a well levelled trail for about an hour that passes amidst the pine forests. On the way, we can have a great view of Thimpu valley from north. If lucky, we can also encounter Takins, national animal of Bhutan that is rare and found only in the Himalayan regions. Exploring the art, architecture and beauty in the monastery, we descend down to Thimphu and drive to Paro for the evening. Enjoy the butter tea or locally made wine called – Ara as a speciality of Bhutan. Overnight at a hotel in Paro. (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.)
Today is the final day of our tour. Your guide will escort you the airport before your scheduled flight for your journey ahead. (Breakfast included)

Regarding your visa and arrival
You can obtain Bhutanese visa on your own by submitting an application to Bhutanese Embassy/ Consulate General based on your State of residence. However, you may also apply for visa through us. Once you book your trip with us, we take care of the process regarding visa. We apply for your visa on your behalf. All we need is photocopy of your passport and photographs. Once your application is processed and approved, you need to pay the applicable visa fees. Upon your arrival, you will be picked up and escorted throughout the journey as per your itinerary.
Getting in Bhutan
You can enter into Bhutan via air or by road. You can catch a direct flight to Paro or enter into Bhutan via Phuentsholing through Indian border in West Bengal.
Best time to visit
Any season would be best for a traveler depending upon the motive of travel. However, Bhutan is mostly visited by travelers from March to May and September to November. These seasons are considered to best for visiting Bhutan.
Accommodation in Paro and Thimpu would be in a three star category hotel. For rest of the places, expect very normal kind of food and accommodation.
Meals and drinking water
During your travel to Tibet, we provide meals i.e. breakfast, lunch and dinner as per the itinerary. However, lunch and dinner while your stay in three star hotels is not included. The menus are limited therefore if you want to eat anything different then you should purchase it on your own.
The currency of Bhutan is denominated as Ngultrum (Nu).
Travel insurance is highly recommended as it insures your risk against any kind of uncertainties during the travel.
