Mera peak is one of the most scenic peaks with mighty Mt. Everest in the background. As it offers a breathtaking view of the tallest mountains in the world. The views of mountains like Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho-Oyu and many more. Mera Peak climbing is physically demanding. Owing to its high altitude but it is not technically unsafe as the ascent seldom exceeds 40 degrees. However, anyone with excellent physical fitness can be a part of this outstanding climbing experience.

If you have a fetish for peak climbing, then Mera peak climbing is the best choice for you. It is the highest peak permitted by the Nepal government for experiencing the climbing adventure. As you ascend to the peak, you will be blessed with enchanting views of the mountains in the Everest region of Nepal. The raw appeal of the mountains like Mt. Everest, Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Kanchenjunga, and Mt. Nuptse will unleash before you as you summit the peak of Mera.

Apart from the mountains, the pleasure of spending nights under the moon inside a tent in a mountainous landscape is another unique feature of Mera peak climbing.

The journey to Mera peak starts with a domestic flight from Kathmandu airport to Lukla. After an energetic and exciting flight to Lukla, we take a trail to the Hinku valley of the Everest region via the Kalo Himal Ridge. We follow our trail to Mera peak under the backdrop of Kusum Kangaro until we reach Tagnag, also known as Sabal Tso Lake.

On the way, we pass some splendid forests, an alpine environment, and picturesque small hamlets where the local Sherpa people graze their yaks. Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Day
Your guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to a hotel for check-in. Your guide will detail your plans ahead. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Fly to Lukla and trek to Chatunga
We take an early flight to Lukla. The views of the mountains as we fly parallel to them are simply awesome. After a 35-minute scenic flight, we arrive at Lukla. Upon arrival, we start our trekking journey! We walk along a well-paved path that leads us to a pasture followed by rhododendron forest uphill until we reach Chatunga. Overnight at a guesthouse in Chatunga.
Day 3: Trek to Tuli Kharka
We follow our trail and continue walking until we cross Kalo Himal Ridge. Kalo Himal ridge is a ridge that separates Khumbu valley from Hinku valley. We cross the ridge and make our way to Zatrwa la Pass. The views of the mountains like Number Himal, Kongdi Ri, Karyolang, and many others from this point are spectacular. We further cross Zatrwa La Pass and descend steeply down to Tuli Kharka. Overnight at a guesthouse in Tuli Kharka.
Day 4: Trek to Mousum Kharka
Today, we continue descending down to Hinku valley and walk until we reach Mousum Kharka. A random encounter with the local people along the way would be an exciting experience. Overnight at a guesthouse in Mousum Kharka.
Day 5: Trek to Tagnag
Today, we continue our trail into the valley enjoying the views of stunning mountains. Our trail descends slowly as we applaud the beauty of Kusum Kangaro and the lush valley. We visit the Sabal Tso Lake and stop at a guesthouse in Tagnag for an overnight halt.
Day 6: Trek to Khare
We follow our trail up along the flank of moraine up to Khare. The view of the Charpate Himal along our way is simply spectacular. Overnight at a guesthouse in Khare.
Day 7: Acclimatization in Khare
Today is a free day in Khare set aside for acclimatization! We can wander around the Hinku valley and explore the beauty of the Himalayas and glaciers in the region. Overnight at a guesthouse in Khare.
Day 8: Trek to Mera Base Camp
Today, we ascend up along the snowy glacier until we reach Mera La Pass. We cross the pass and walk up to Mera Base Camp. Overnight at a tented camp in Mera Base Camp.
Day 9: Trek and climb to high camp
Today, we march up to the high camp from base camp. As we ascend to the high camp, the trail can be quite difficult as we have to walk up in the snow. However, we put our best efforts into Mera High Camp. The splendor of Mt. Everest, Mt. Makalu, and Mt. Cho Oyu from the high camp would be a reward for our efforts. Overnight at a tented camp in a high camp.
Day 10: Climb Mera summit
This day can be considered one of the most exciting days of our entire journey. We take our steps towards the peak of Mera. We start early in the morning at around 2:00 a.m. to avoid bad weather conditions in the afternoon. We follow our team leader and climb up using the ropes tied up for the climbing purpose. After achieving the summit of the peak, we behold the beauty of mountains like Mt. Everest, Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Kanchenjunga, and Mt. Nuptse from the top and retrace our steps back to Mera Base Camp. Overnight at a tented camp in Mera Base Camp.
Day 11: Reserve day in case of bad weather condition
This is a day set aside in case of any contingencies. At the heights, various contingencies may occur and the same could be a reason for your unsuccessful climbing attempt. Therefore, to avoid this kind of failure due to any unforeseen circumstances like bad weather conditions, etc. we have set this day as a reserve day. Overnight at Mera Base Camp.
Day 12: Trek to Ghothey
After achieving the summit of Mera peak, we leave the peak behind and retrace our journey back to Tagnag and then to Ghothey. Overnight at a guesthouse in Ghothey.
Day 13: Trek to Thuli Kharka
Today, we climb up again and descend down through the lush rhododendron forest on the west of Hinku valley to Thuli Kharka. Overnight at a guesthouse in Thuli Kharka.
Day 14: Trek back to Lukla
Leaving Thuli Kharka, we follow our path back to Lukla. We retrace our path to Chatunga via Zatrwa La pass and rhododendron forest. Overnight at a guesthouse in Lukla.
Day 15: Fly back to Kathmandu
We take a flight back to Kathmandu. After a 35-minute scenic flight, we find ourselves in the buzzing city of Kathmandu. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 16: Sightseeing tour in Kathmandu
Your guide will pick you up at the hotel for a guided tour of the UNESCO-listed heritage sites in Kathmandu. Your trip will start at Kathmandu Durbar Square which will be followed by the Swayambhunath stupa, Pashupatinath temple, and Boudhanath stupa. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 17: Departure Day
